General Zurfer Questions

1. What do I need to run Zurfer?
   See the installation summary.
2. What is a photo wallet?
   Always have your favorite photos on hand to show in Zurfer. If you create a set in your Flickr photostream named "Photo Wallet", the photos in the set will automatically be displayed under the Zurfer channel "My Stuff".
3. How does Zurfer know where I am?
   Zurfer gets your location from ZoneTag (see 'Zurfer and ZoneTag' below). ZoneTag can often recognize your location using the cell tower your phone is connected to. If that's the case, Zurfer will automatically set itself to that location and show you the nearby photos. If not, try telling Zurfer where you are under "Options".
4. How come there are no photos near me?
   Well, Flickr has tons of geo-tagged photos but sometimes you boldly go where no photographer had gone before. Take a photo with ZoneTag - make sure you enter its location - and leave a mark for the future Zurfers.
5. How do I report a bug?

Zurfer & ZoneTag

1. How does Zurfer work with ZoneTag?
   Zurfer uses your last ZoneTag location update and then displays photos from that location.
2. What is my last known ZoneTag location?
   This is the location that you were at when ZoneTag last contacted the server. This could be the location of your last photo upload or the location of the last time ZoneTag requested suggested tags. If the location is unknown, then Zurfer will not be able to display photos near where you are. For more information on how ZoneTag determines location of your photos, go here.
3. If I use Zurfer, does ZoneTag know where I am always?
   No, ZoneTag will only know the last time your ZoneTag client contacted the server and does not retain any history.

1. Is my location information kept confidential?
   Absolutely. We respect your privacy and your location information is not disclosed to non-Yahoo! parties and will not be used without your consent.
